Chili and slaw recipes for hot dogs

hot dog chili

2 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion (real small)
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. Garlic pressed
32 ounce jar tomatoe sauce
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 teas. salt
2 teas. accent (found in a tiny red and white salt like container in spice section)

brown ground beef, onion and garlic a little before you add the rest, cook on medium heat just like you would spaghetti sauce. This makes a lot but it is really good to freeze for later.

Cole Slaw

small cabbage shredded
1/2 cup miracle whip
1 teas. dill pickle juice
1 teas. celery salt
1 or 2 teas. mustard

mix last 4 ingredients together to make a dressing, if you want it more yellow add more mustard, if its too sweet add a little more pickle juice and if it is too vinegar tasting add a little sugar to it. Start stirring it into the cabbage until you get it all covered. If you see you don't have enough of the dressing make a little more. I never use a recipe for this I just guess, you really can't mess it up.

This is really good with a grilled oscar meyer hot dog, and if you really want to get fancy get the English style buns and butter and toast them. Okay I am getting hungry again.

Enjoy!
Lucy
